RSIR Announces New Executive Team Appointments & Expansion Plans
As Puget Sound Business Journal reported this week, Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty announced changes to the executive team as the brand continues to grow. According to Trendgraphix research, RSIR is the most productive on a per broker basis amongst the top ten largest residential real estate brands listed in the Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS). Dean Jones will continue to serve as co-owner and chief executive officer, while co-owner Stacy Jones was named chief people officer. Stacia Smith was appointed to chief sales officer and designated broker, presiding over the firm’s 220+ brokers and five offices. Executive advisor Ryan Hodgson was appointed to chief operating officer and numerous brokers were placed in interim and permanent management and assistant management positions. The executive team also formally established a separate New Developments Division with a preview center currently under construction at 2715 1st Avenue in downtown Seattle.
“I feel so fortunate to work alongside this extraordinary team of professionals to lead the next evolution of RSIR,” said Dean Jones. “As we celebrate our eighth anniversary since engaging with the Sotheby’s International Realty® network I look back on how far we’ve come with great pride and I look forward with tremendous excitement about our trajectory.”
Jones was excited to share a Trendgraphix report that revealed that in the first half of 2018, RSIR was the fastest-growing firm for year-over-year production compared to the top ten largest brands. And according to NWMLS numbers, RSIR’s sales volume increased by nearly 30 percent—to $1.6 billion in sales—for the trailing 12 months ending June 30th, 2018. Though there are just over 220 brokers in the firm, they consistently achieve the highest production on a per-broker basis compared to their peer group. To better serve and prepare for additional growth, RSIR is re-constructing their flagship Seattle branch office, adding to the Eastside Gateway branch office in Kirkland, and recently doubled the size of the Park House in Madison Park.
“We will never lose sight of our roots — it’s all about our people and the company we keep,” adds Stacy Jones. “No app is going to replace the care or creativity that comes from a world-class marketing enterprise or truly global exposure for which our brand is synonymous. That said, we are always open to innovation and will soon announce new tools, an all-new website and dynamic retail environments — not just new places to work but new ways to work.”
The changes to the management and exectuve team were the result of a 9-month research, branding and executive team evolution led by Ryan Hodgson, who was then an executive advisor to the firm. “I am just so impressed with this company and the palpable community here,” Hodgson said. “I credit our owners for investing in their people, technology and resources to become an even better version of ourselves. I’m excited to steward the business operations of this great company to deliver the best possible experience for our brokers and results for their clients.”
