Open House Event For Koda Condos

As excitement escalates for the all new KODA condominiums, local media is taking notice. The Seattle Times featured the new project, noting how the planning process is progressing.

The new building proposed by Da-Li Development, is on track to begin construction in early 2018. This would allow for the building’s 200 plus units to be occupied no late than 2020. With an open house event hosted by KMD Architects and Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty, the project begins to come to life.

As read in the article published by The Seattle Times, the event’s purpose was to preview the design for the building. “‘We are exploring several design alternatives pursuant to comments received by the Special Review Board and seek opinions from the community as well,’ says Yang Lee, a director of Seattle-base KMD Architects, which is designing KODA.”

Located at Fifth and South Main Street, the building will be in the heart of Japantown. Lee shared that the goal of the project is to celebrate the region’s culture by, “paying homage to a historic past while participating in the renaissance taking place in the International District.”
