Curbed Seattle Highlights Sounders FC Goalie Stefan Frei's Condo
As a recent Curbed Seattle article declares, there’s “one thing that Sounders FC goalkeeper Stefan Frei won’t be saving next season: a one-bedroom loft in South Lake Union, currently on the market for $699,000.” And the home, listed by Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty broker Anie Buckmelter, has already found its next keeper, as it has already gone pending after just five days on the market.
Frei purchased the condo in 2015, and quickly enlisted designer Joy Rondello to adorn “the space with minimalist décor, retaining neutral tones that make the home’s natural wood elements pop.” As the article points out, though typical lofts feature just one wall of windows, that isn’t the case with Frei’s condo: “towering above the eat-in kitchen, the home’s bedroom has its own outdoor access – stairs lead to a private terrace, accessible through a door that looks like a large picture window.”
“All together, the home is 861 feet,” Lloyd writes. “Not quite CenturyLink Field, but certainly a lot closer than some one-bedrooms.”
Curbed Seattle also posted an update to the article, sharing Frei’s reassurance that he isn’t leaving the Emerald City, just relocating to a new home in Queen Anne.
